Vista Transformation Pack will give to your Windows XP system the new and cool look of Microsoft"s future operating system: Windows Vista. The pack changes most of the system icons, skins and toolbars and also adds new enhancements to your desktop such as a dock bar or a different system tray clock. It is free and does a great job of giving machine a look similar to Vista.
It does have uninstallation options in case you decide you want to get rid of it, so there really isn’t anything to lose. However, when you install the software it has to overwrite some system files (it modifies things like the boot screen) so Windows will prompt you stating that your system files have been changed. It will ask whether you want to change them back or leave them, so just leave them if you want the system to function properly.
As I mentioned before, I cancelled 3.5 and focusing on making more and better version 4.0 for you. I guess it"s like new UI update and more stuffs added. Although it doesn"t have much new functions or features, it"s whole new look pack which deserves 4.0 for version number.

Install the Vista Sidebar on Windows XP If you just can"t wait to get your hands on the new Vista Sidebar, one of the new operating system"s premier features, this little program should quench your thirst for the time being. Patched together from early Vista beta releases, you can install and run this Microsoft me-to feature in your current Windows XP installation.
The sidebar runs along the... side of your monitor and provides access to "Gadgets" which are basically mini applications such as clocks, weather checkers, RSS readers, etc... They work similarly to Apple"s Dashboard Widgets and Yahoo Widgets.

- The Media Player 11 interface makes finding the media you want easier than ever. The complicated (and sometimes convoluted) trees that once appeared in the Media Player Library are gone. Now when you select a category from the Library, the content in that category appears off to the right instead of under the category on the left. Finally, no more long album and artist listings that scroll into infinity! - With the trees gone, Media Player 11 is easier to navigate than any of its predecessors. There aren"t any lines between the trees, album information, or CD cover art, and the default album art view now shows album art and track information in the center of the screen. All of this makes finding the information you want a lot easier. - Along with enhanced views, the buttons at the top of the interface contain new shortcuts. Some of my favorites include adjusting format and bitrate on the fly for CD ripping, and switching back and forth from audio to data settings for CD burning.
